INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE
UNA - Teresa Fabião (Portugal)
UNA is research on HIV, based on biographical, biomedical and sociopolitical issues. A “multivocal solo” that investigates the transformations in the body and identity caused by HIV. In UNA, Teresa Fabião’s individual story expands through interviews that the creator did with other positive bodies in Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Italy and the USA. This generates a multivocal perspective, capable of addressing complex issues such as discrimination, oppression and the resilience of bodies in dialogue with these issues:
*How to give body to the invisible?
*How to talk about taboo?
*How to move and deconstruct prejudices?…
From a current perspective on HIV, UNA puts issues such as human vulnerability, self-care and collective care into perspective, inviting us to look at the virus – and at life – from a place of transformation.
