SELIBERATION #3

Seliberation #3 is the third video performance in the Seliberation # series, which began in 2021. #3 is a video performance of up to 5 minutes of uncoordinated, straight, tense, crooked, twisted, spiraled and limping movements, which relate to aesthetics and hemiparetic mode. The relationship between the camera and the performer is direct, as if someone knows they are being observed, likes it and provokes it. The work was contemplated by the 1º Artes Digitais – Cultura DEF do Cultura Inglesa Festival, for digital visual arts projects. These are unpublished digital artistic projects, created and/or starring people with disabilities.

Estela Lapponi

Estela Lapponi: Performer, video artist and poetic terrorist from São Paulo. Her artistic research focuses on the scenic discourse of the DEF body (person with disabilities), performative and relational practice (public), and the transition between visual and scenic languages. Since 2009, she has been carrying out investigative practices based on the concept she created – Corpo Intruso. In 2023, she launched the book Corpo Intruso- uma investigação cênica, visual e conceitual. She has a master’s degree in Scenic Practices and Visual Culture from the Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid and a specialist in Contemporary Dance Studies from the Universidade Federal da Bahia.
