This is a work by artists (creators and performers) Wellington Gadelha and Edivaldo Batista who delve into the universe of prayer as a techno-ancestral scenic activator. In the proposal, performative paths focused on the live experimentation of blessings, requests, and curses create a spatiality in which the imagery, the sound, and the body coexist. The work is an intersection between the traditional and the contemporary \u2013 a danced prayer that integrates scenarios, trajectories, elements, and narratives in the construction of a sensorial and immersive scene for the spectator’s enjoyment of prayer.

Wellington Gadelha<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Wellington Gadelha is interested in relationships in the contemporary field based on composition, improvisation, dramaturgy and staging. With a focus on dance, visual arts, technological art, sound art, installations and immersive processes, he is in charge of and develops work\/research at Plataforma Afrontamento, a space that works as a consultancy, planning, project development and buildup of artistic residencies. He lives in Fortaleza, Cear\u00e1\/Brazil and has connections to projects in Zurich, Switzerland. His shows \u201cGente de L\u00e1\u201d, \u201cManifesto do Sonho\u201d, \u201cThis is an emergency\u201d, \u201cReza Caseira\u201d and \u201cMiRA\u201d are currently touring national and international theaters, festivals and galleries. Nominated for the Pr\u00eamio Pipa (2020), he has executed projects included in Rumos Ita\u00fa Cultural (2017-2018) and Funarte Artes Visuais \u2013 Periferias e Interiores (2017). He was a researcher at the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Biblioteca Nacional e Instituto Municipal Nise da Silveira linked to the Universidade Popular de Arte e Ci\u00eancia (UPAC). He is also a member of Cia. da Arte Andan\u00e7as and a network of initiatives and collectives with an emphasis on human rights, peripheral areas, black youth and community contexts. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Edivaldo Batista has a degree in performing arts and research in composition and narration processes with a focus on Afro-indigenous ancestry, traditional tales and traditional knowledge. He is part of the storytelling network.
